Program
Management
The ED&C program management team draws upon its experience from a
broad range of industries. Best practices from other industries have been
adopted by ED&C to offer its customers the most comprehensive program
management expertise available. ED&C program managers are required
to have extensive field engineering and installation experience as well
as in house design experience. This breadth of experience ensures program
managers who are adept at all phases of program development, execution
and support.
ED&C is a matrix organization. This enables the project team to benefit
from the experience of multiple disciplines which reside within the corporate
family of companies. This also allows ED&C to offer its clients the
very best team possible to develop a design, move into prototyping, simulation
and testing, production, deployment, and support. Meetings are conducted
regularly both with the customer and internally to make sure all tasks
are on schedule. Project engineers work closely with the manufacturing
manager and installation team to ensure a seamless transfer of information.
A Field Book (daily log) is maintained by the ED&C program manager
and reports are generated to the customer as necessary. Required Task
Lists are developed for each program as well as Project Schedules which
clearly state the anticipated date of completion for each task and responsible
party. Reports and meetings are set based upon contract requirements and
individual site needs.
The program is managed
in such a way to reduce field installation and commissioning time, thereby
minimizing overall cost to the customer. ED&C engineers are dispatched
to confirm the system is working as designed, and every ED&C system
is warranted for two years or as required by the contract.
The ED&C Program
Manager is the single point of contact for the customer. The Program Manager
is responsible for ensuring all departments within ED&C are coordinated
and working toward the same project goals. Multiple internal meetings
occur weekly including the various departments within ED&C responsible
for the project. These meetings will include personnel from the production
facility, accounting, purchasing, materials management and logistics. |
